What is Bible Builders?

Bible Builders is a way to explore the bible using LEGO bricks. Each of the stories on this website are lovingly created from scratch using real LEGO bricks. It is intended that these stories are used in conjunction with building LEGO models in groups to help people engage with the bible in a hands-on way that is fun and stimulating.

How are the stories created?

Each story is created from genuine, real LEGO bricks. Then the models are photographed and put together into a slideshow or story book. The videos are also created from these photos and a voice-over and background music is added. The background music is also original and is played on a keyboard to fit the story. Most of the images are simple photographs of the LEGO models that are unaltered, but in certain cases details or special effects have been added using photo editing software.

Are the stories biblically accurate?

Just like many story books or videos, the Bible Builders stories are not accurate word for word translations of the bible text but are reimagined stories that seek to help people engage in the bible and gain a better understanding of the bible story. For example, in the story of Zacchaeus the Tax Collector the story has been elaborated to imagine the kind of people that Zacchaeus might tax. This is not in the original bible story but it is hoped that this helps the reader to understand why tax collectors were hated so much. This in turn gives a better understanding of why it is so amazing that Jesus showed him love in the way that he did. Each story is treated in a similar way.
